An elevator pit had to be excavated, reinforced, and poured to structural spec, then handed off clean and on schedule for the elevator installation to follow. It's a below-grade concrete scope with no margin on depth or level, and Rego self-performed all of it.
An elevator pit has to hit its structural requirements exactly. The excavation has to reach proper depth and give the base solid support, the reinforcement has to carry the load and stop any shifting over time, and the finished floor has to come out level and clean so the next trade can build off it without rework. Miss on any one and the elevator install downstream pays for it.
Work started with excavation and base preparation to set proper depth and support for the pit. The team then installed reinforced rebar to create a strong structural framework built to handle load and prevent shifting over time. With the reinforcement in place, the concrete pour for the pit floor was executed with attention to finish and leveling, leaving a clean, solid base ready for the next phase.
Rego's scope wrapped up efficiently and on schedule. The site was left prepared for the remaining work, including the roof opening and final elevator installation.
